Back to School and Creating Resilient Kids

Interview with Dr Charlotte Reznick PhD, child and educational psychologist

Dr. Charlotte Reznick returns to Heart Filled Holidays to talk about kids. Dr. Reznick helps children to be resilient and to be okay no matter what is going on in their lives. She says, “The challenges of growing up in today’s rapidly changing society are enormous. Children need to be equipped with skills for survival and growth that were never before imagined. I focus on teaching children and adolescents self-healing and self-control techniques that will empower them to realize their potential throughout their lifetime.” Today on HFHradio Sandy Fowler will chat with her about how your child can be their own best friend as well talking a bit about bullying, including what to do if your child is the bully.

Sandy is marrying some personal history with advice from the experts in order to share tips on exercise for the exercise averse. Then, after Dr. Reznick’s interview Sandy will spend a full segment sharing back-to-school tips. These aren’t your run-of-the-mill logistical tips. She’ll show you how you can leverage back-to-school time to bring your family closer together, reinforce your family rules, solve problems and lower stress while creating a better year, one that supports your values and priorities.

And Christmas Corner will showcase a plethora of gift ideas inspired by the back-to-school season, most of which can either be purchased or created personally by you.
